“The quality of work is outstanding”

The headline says it all! Every company likes to receive glowing reviews and this is what the Department of Work and Pensions has to say about an animation project we completed for them.

The DWP asked us to produce six animations to help colleagues understand complex technology they were rolling out.

Here’s how Lorna Perry from the DWP described our work: “We received excellent professional advice and guidance throughout. We had a very tight deadline to meet with each animation but this didn’t phase 7video who met every deadline with ease.

“The quality of work is outstanding and the process they take you through really ensures your involvement throughout the project lifecycle.”

Lorna’s colleagues also praised the animation with the following feedback:

“Fantastic animation. So much clearer now.”

“Great piece of work to be able to explain something this technical in a straightforward, simple and clear way is brilliant.”

“The animation was great. We need this more often. Would be a great help when explaining the changes to the end user.”

“Hi Folks, this is a great animation with a really clear voice over.”

When we asked Lorna what she would say to other businesses wanting to use 7video for animation she said: “Do it! Their work is creative and effective.”

Animation helps leading company celebrate birthday in style

To help a market leading company celebrate its 30th birthday in style we created a bespoke, high quality animation.

Fire and carbon monoxide detection company, Aico, has just celebrated the significant anniversary.

Featuring a cartoon family, the birthday animation showed that even though the company’s technology and services have changed over the years, its quality has remained at the same high level.

We love supporting Aico’s work with our film and animation services and it was a real honour to work on this project

And we’re delighted with  the results, as it not only marks the special occasion, but also showcases our animation expertise too.

Incorporated in 1990 in Oswestry, Shropshire, Aico has rapidly grown from strength to strength, with the growth being marked by the move to a new, bespoke head office in Maesbury Road.

Their managing director Neal Hooper said: “In celebration of our milestone 30th anniversary, we were looking for something special to commemorate the occasion that conveyed our heritage and core ethos of Education, Quality, Service and Innovation.

“We collaborated with 7video who provided an animation that captured our heritage and the essence of Aico. We are delighted with the results and look forward to continuing our partnership with 7video on upcoming projects.”

Here at 7video, we’ve seen our own transformation over the last 12 years and now offer film, animation, drone and timelapse services from offices on the Shrewsbury Business Park.

Our award-winning production company has made thousands of films and animations for a wide range of sectors across the West Midlands, the UK and overseas.

With a team of experts, we know how to deliver exceptional projects.

"Everyone should watch this"

At a time of massive uncertainty caused by Coronavirus, PA Housing approached us to make a powerful video to help reach out to customers who needed extra support.

This TV advert-style film promotes how customers financially affected by the pandemic can contact the housing association’s Tenancy Sustainment team.

The film was purposefully launched before the Government’s furlough scheme ended as PA Housing realised this would have an impact.

Thousands of people watched the video within days of its release with the following reviews:

“Wow! I’ve never watched a video that demonstrates the work UK housing does better than this.”

“Amazing film.”

“Everyone should watch this.”

“Such a powerful video.”

PA Housing was also delighted with the results: “It has been an absolute pleasure working with everyone at 7video.  From the initial planning meetings, all the way through the process to the final shoot, they have been amazing.

“Nothing was too much trouble and the advice that they have provided has been brilliant.  The final product has really blown us away and the feedback that we are getting from customers and from the housing sector is fantastic.”

We cannot tell you how overjoyed everyone at 7video is with the reaction so far and we cannot wait to share even more high quality videos with you in the near future.

Putting the focus on Base Architects

Building up a picture of what a company does on a daily basis can be a valuable aid when it comes to reaching a wider audience. So when multi-award winning Base Architects approached us to make such a video, we knew exactly what to focus on!

The company asked us to produce a video that showed a day in the life of the firm,  showcasing the different stages of work as well as the final designs fully built – and we were delighted to help.

Base Architects has offices in Shrewsbury, Chester and Conwy, has an expanding client base with experience of working on projects across the UK and is very aware of the power video brings to promoting a business.

The brief

– To create an artistic and engaging film

-Showcase what Base Architects is all about

-Follow the journey from the start of the working day

-Film in an artistic style

-Engage all types of audience with the look and feel of the film

Base Architects has worked on literally hundreds of projects over the years and one of the first things we needed to do was decide which of the properties would be the best to show what the company has to offer.

We worked closely with the team at Base throughout the process and during our pre-production meetings we considered a number of projects before coming up with a shortlist of the best of the best.

We needed to create a film which appealed to both private clients looking to build their home and corporate clients wanting to build large scale schemes.

Filming in late autumn and early winter always throws up the unpredictability of the British weather. We needed to choose the right days for filming when the weather would be at it’s kindest. This meant working with Base Architects through a flexible approach to filming dates, often confirming only the day before filming based on the weather forecast.

Even then the weather was not always on our side which meant the sky was often grey, however we managed to fix this in post-production by replacing boring flat skies with more dramatic backgrounds.

Filming flexibility with the company was also needed when it came to capturing the construction phase of the projects. We were also helped here by one of Base’s clients who were in the process of building their main house.

They had already completed a beautifully designed lake house so we were able to capture the building phase and a completed build in one shoot!

The final film included black and white to show scenes from the past, however, the occasional glimpse of orange shines through the black and white images.

It was an interesting project to be involved with and one both we and Base Architects are extremely pleased with.
