Keeping residents informed and engaged is now a big priority for social landlords – and video is a great way of doing just that.
The team at 7video have been working with CHP housing group in Essex to produce a corporate video to help build links between the organisation and their residents.
As anyone who works in social housing will know, communicating effectively with residents is always a challenge.
The statistics for making video your medium of choice are compelling:
- The average person spends 45 minutes watching video on their smartphone or tablet every day.
- 90% of consumers say that watching a video can influence their buying decisions.
- Four-times more buyers say they prefer to watch a video about a product than reading about it.
Those are just three very good reasons for investing your marketing budget on video rather than the traditional printed glossy brochure, which has very much been the norm for the housing industry in recent years.
But the team at CHP housing decided to do something a bit different and wanted to speak directly to their residents.
Simon at 7video, who worked on the project, says: “CHP gave us a clear brief that they wanted a film to show how they work and listen to their customers. Built around a script, the film involves people from across the organisation to show how they are growing, while still sticking to their values.”
We were delighted that Jade Parker, communications manager at CHP, was so pleased with the results.
She said: “I worked with Pete and the team to produce our corporate video earlier this year. I am totally impressed with the outcome and their commitment to ensuring the video was perfect.
“Nothing was too much trouble for the crew. The entire project was professional managed and creative ideas were provided throughout. I would recommend 7video to anyone and will be using them again.”
